Job Title: Elementary Librarian/Media Specialist
Location: Tredyffrin/Easttown School District
 
Overview:
The Tredyffrin/Easttown School District is seeking a dynamic and certified Elementary Librarian/Media Specialist to lead a vibrant, student-centered library program. This educator will foster a love of reading, teach research and information literacy skills, and collaborate with teachers to integrate technology into instruction. The ideal candidate will cultivate a welcoming environment that supports diverse learners and prepares students for success in an information-rich world.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver instruction on information literacy, research skills, and digital citizenship.
• Curate and maintain a diverse, inclusive, and current collection of print and digital resources.
• Collaborate with teachers to integrate library and technology resources into curriculum planning and instruction.
• Manage the library media center’s operations, budgets, and technology tools.
• Promote a love of reading through library programming, author visits, book fairs, and special events.
• Guide students and staff in the ethical and effective use of digital tools and information sources.
• Advocate for library and technology resources through participation in school and district initiatives.
• Provide professional development support to staff on emerging technologies and information systems.
• Manage Volunteers

 
Candidate Requirements:

• Pennsylvania Library Media Specialist Certification (K-12)
• Strong knowledge of best practices in school librarianship, digital citizenship, and instructional technology
• Experience with library management systems (e.g., Follett Destiny)
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
