Description

Raymore-Peculiar School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Industrial Arts Teacher to join our dynamic team for the 2025-2026 school year!  The ideal candidate will have experience with Computer Integrated Machining and Manufacturing. We are looking for an educator who can inspire critical thinking, engage students in hands-on learning, and help prepare them for college, careers, and beyond.The qualified candidate should hold or be eligible for a valid Missouri Industrial Arts Certificate for Grades 9-12.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach courses in computer integrated machining and manufacturing processes and other related industrial arts subjects
  • Deliver hands-on instruction in safety procedures, machine operation (manual and CNC), blueprint reading, precision measurement, and CAD/CAM software
  • Develop and maintain an engaging curriculum aligned with state standards and industry certifications
  • Maintain and manage the machining lab, equipment, and materials
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to support academic and technical growth
  • Foster partnerships with local industries, technical colleges, and workforce development programs
  • Prepare students for industry credentials and promote participation in career and technical student organizations (CTSOs)
  • Participate in professional development and collaborate with colleagues to support school and district goals
