Teacher - Science, 6th Grade

Northridge Local Schools is seeking a Sixth Science Teacher for our Middle School for the 25/26 School Year. 

Location: Northridge Middle School

Grade Level: Science - Sixth Grade 

Licensure & Certification Requirements (Ohio):

• Valid Ohio teaching license issued by the Ohio Department of Education.
• Certification in Middle Childhood Education (Grades 4–9) with a concentration in Science, or
• Certification in Adolescent to Young Adult (AYA) Life Sciences or Physical Sciences (Grades 7–12).
• Must meet all ODE licensure requirements, including passing scores on the appropriate Ohio Assessments for Educators (OAE).
• ?Candidates must be qualified under ESSA to teach science at the middle school level.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience teaching integrated science or disciplinary science courses at the middle school level.
• Familiarity with Ohio’s Learning Standards for Science.
• Ability to engage students in inquiry-based learning and hands-on labs.
• ?Strong classroom management and a passion for STEM education.

Contract: 185 days
