Description
The Dunklin R-5 School District has an opening at Senn-Thomas Middle School for the position of Special Education Teacher servicing students with academic and executive functioning skills deficits. The position will be for the 2025-2026 school year. Under the direction of the Building Principal and Director of Student Services, the Special Education Teacher will develop and provide specialized instruction to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities, function as IEP Case Manager to assign students, and foster positive relationships with students.
Starting Date: August 14, 2025
Salary Range: Commensurate with education and experience. (First year teacher base salary of $43,500; Step 1)
Certification: K-12 Mild/Moderate Cross Categorical or a comparable special education certification
Benefits: Board-paid health, Life, and Dental Insurance. Employees will be offered, on a fee basis, in-district childcare for ages birth through two, with preschool available from ages 3 to 5. PSRS Retirement, optional supplemental insurance plans, and optional 403b; 457 plans.
