Hourly Rate of Pay: $35.98
Hours: 7:30 am – 2:45 pm (unpaid 30 minute Lunch) Monday – Friday
Start Date: August 25, 2025
GENERAL STATEMENT OF POSITION:
The Board-Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) is responsible for managing a team of BTs / RBTs in the implementation of individualized treatment plans. The BCaBA works closely with the BCBA to ensure quality of care, authorization, supervision, and implementation of treatment plans toward effective patient outcomes. The BCaBA oversees and provides performance coaching and ongoing training to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs). BCaBA seeks ongoing development and expansion of their professional leadership and clinical skills.
Qualifications/Certifications:.
- Hold & Maintain Board certification as an Assistant Behavior Analyst.
- Meet all supervision requirements as specified by the BACB
- 2 years experience providing behavior analytic services to individuals with autism or other developmental delays preferred.
- Excellent professional, leadership, organization, and communication skills (both written and oral).
- Required to follow all safety procedures and requirements.
- The job duties require an employee to routinely and safely demonstrate heavy to very heavy physical demands associated with ‘hand on’ efforts when physically managing students, under routine, emergency, and/or aggressive behavior management scenarios.
- Safety Cares certification and experience preferred.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist with the designing, monitoring, and evaluation of individual students' instructional programs based on applied behavior analysis (ABA). Provide written protocols for instruction and behavior management.
- Establish effective data collection and graphing systems, analyze data, and train staff in methods of data collection and analysis.
- Assist with the development and implementation of individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on assessment data.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to monitor student progress and make adjustments to interventions as needed.
- Provide training and professional development for school staff on behavior management strategies.
- Support teachers in implementing ABA strategies within the classroom to promote positive student behavior and learning outcomes.
- Offer ongoing consultation to teachers, paraprofessionals, and other staff to ensure effective implementation of behavior intervention plans and/or strategies.
- Support students in developing social skills, communication skills, and self-regulation techniques.
- Develop appropriate instructional and behavioral goals with staff, students, and parents.
- Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings to provide input on behavior goals, strategies, and progress.
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers to ensure consistency of behavior interventions across home and school settings.
- Maintain effective working relationships through collaboration with all members of the students’ team.
- Prevent and de-escalate harmful behavior in a behavior crisis situation to reduce student’s risk of injury and ensure safety of others, using psychological and physical management strategies.
- Perform and document district approved physical management or restraint procedures utilizing Safety Cares.
- Commitment to ongoing training and development as it relates to the position.
