Resource Coordinator- Full Time 
GOVS Student Center- Franklin 
Start Date- August 2025

Qualifications:                  

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field and two years’ experience working with at-risk youth and families.
  2. Valid Ohio driver’s license.
  3. Access to own motor vehicle.
  4. Effective communication skills in English.
  5. Knowledge of State Laws (Ohio Revised Code and Administrative Codes) that pertain to child abuse/neglect/dependency and unruly.
  6. Knowledge of social service agencies and community resources.
  7. Ability to lift 40 pounds unassisted.
  8. Ability to maneuver stairs unassisted.
  9. Pass criminal background check.
Essential Functions:         
  1.  Refer families to community services.
  2. Receipt of referral/gathering information from pertinent sources.
  3. Assist with the Student Support Team and data collection process. 
  4. Plan and organize family engagement activities throughout the school year.
  5. Student visits/observations; family visits in school.
  6. Refer family to community services.
  7. Make referrals to and receive referrals from Children’s Services, Juvenile Court, Mental Health, parenting classes, local police departments, counseling agencies, and any other appropriate resource.
  8. Ongoing coordination and consultation with service providers.
  9. Develop relationships with community agencies and act as a liaison between school, parents, and community agencies.
  10. Participate in the development of resources and activities to help at-risk youth and families.
  11. Coordination of resources such as food, clothing, and school supplies.
  12. Assist school with coordination of school records and information to new school system when child moves to a different school district.
  13. Knowledge of human behavior and crisis intervention; exercise sound judgment under stressful and/or dangerous situations.
  14. Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance.
  15. Perform all duties in conformity to the adopted Board Policy.
  16. Display professional appearance.
  17. Perform in a professional manner.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Serves as a role model for educators and students in how to conduct themselves as citizens and as responsible, intelligent human beings.
  2. Helps instill in students and staff the belief in and practice of ethical principles and democratic values.
  3. Shall perform such other duties as the Governing Board may assign/determine.
  4. The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or nonprescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the County/District.
  5. Observes Risk Reduction Safety Rules and Regulations of the Warren County ESC and School Districts, State, Federal OSHA laws and will be evaluated to the extent of compliance and implementation as an employee of such rules and regulations for safety in the workplace while visiting such sites in line of work duties.

  1. Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and tissue.
  2. Possible operation of a vehicle under inclement weather conditions.
  3. Possible interaction among unruly children.
