POSITION: GSRP Preschool Teacher - Teaching Certification Required
LOCATION: Harvey-Swanson Elementary - Preschool
DESCRIPTION OF THE DISTRICT:
The Brandon School District is a mid-size school district nestled in Northwest Oakland County. The district has approximately 1,000 students in junior kindergarten-5th grade between the two elementary schools, approximately 600 at the middle school level and approximately 850 at the high school. This small, tight knit community has a strong connection to its schools and is passionate about the education of its youth. Brandon High School sends 85-90% of its graduates to college each year, it was ranked in the 82nd percentile of all schools in the State on the top-to-bottom rankings and it was awarded as a Silver Medal Winner by the US News. Harvey-Swanson elementary school is a one-to-one technology school that is ranked in the 83rd percentile in the State.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Elementary Michigan Teaching Certificate with a ZA or ZS endorsement.
- Ability to communicate and work cooperatively with students and parents.
- Experience using computers and educational technology.
- Knowledge of HighScope Curriculum Conflict Resolution, and COR assessment preferred.
- Plan, prepare, and implement the GSRP preschool program activities.
- Provide instructional support to students in a safe, nurturing environment.
- Complete and maintain all necessary paperwork and reports associated with GSRP requirements.
- Maintain children and staff files as required.
- Conduct required home visits, conferences, and parent meeting.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervising teacher and/or director.

STARTING DATE: Begins at the start of the 2025-2026 school year
COMPENSATION: Per BEA Master Agreement
