JOB DESCRIPTION – Paraprofessional I-ESS
TITLE: Paraprofessional I-ESS FTE: 0.875 |
FLSA STATUS: Non Exempt HOURS PER DAY:7
WORK CALENDAR: 195 days
COMPENSATION: Classified Non Exempt Compensation Guide (Starting at $17.70/hour)

Education / Certificate
1. Associate of Arts degree or paraprofessional certification required
2. Must obtain and maintain CPR and first aid certification within 45 days of hire
3. Must sign an AHCSS Provider Participation Agreement and obtain a provider number as required
4. Must have and maintain a valid IVP Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
Experience
1. Prior experience working with special education students desired
2. Must have Nonviolent Crisis Intervention and specialized training for developmentally disabled students
3. Must be 21 years of age or older upon hire
Communication Skills
1. Must possess a positive attitude toward students, teachers, staff and parents/guardians
2. Must possess the ability to take and follow directions
Computer Skills
1. Must possess basic computing and clerical skills
