Job Location: Montgomery County Educational Service Center - Board Office

 

Start Date: August 1, 2025

 

Salary: Commensurate with experience

 

Full/Part-Time: Full-Time, 40 hours per week

 

Days: 210

What You’ll Do:

 

• Develop and implement procedures to comply with school attendance laws.

• Review and investigate truancy cases, responding to requests from local school districts.

• Prepare documentation, including letters to parents and reports outlining actions taken.

• Coordinate with school districts, law enforcement, and child services regarding cases of neglect, abuse, and hardship.

• Represent the school district at hearings and provide testimony.

• Maintain effective working relationships with community organizations and law enforcement.

• Assist in resolving issues related to custody, residency, and home schooling.

• Conduct legal research and provide consultation as needed.

• Ensure the confidentiality of sensitive information.
