Coach/Trainer
Description
Position: Assistant Varsity Football Defensive Coach
Season: Fall 2025
Pay: Stipends are paid in accordance with the Teacher Labor Agreement, Appendix C.
Overview:
The assistant coach is responsible for supporting the head coach in all aspects of running the program including try-outs, team selection, practices, games, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A valid Minnesota coaching certificate (or alternative qualifications) is required.
- Strong background in and understanding of the specific sport.
- Successful coaching experience strongly preferred.
- Experience in building a comprehensive program, developing staff, and managing diverse program-wide elements in accordance with the school mission and vision.
- Srong interpersonal and organizational skills, and the commitment to develop and maintain positive relationships between the program and the local community.
- Proven experience in teaching and modeling character and responsible behavior.
- Positive, high energy, and committed.
- Partners well with parents, staff, community leaders, etc.
- View success not just as winning; but as helping team members to reach goals.
- Orientation toward continuous improvement and transformational coaching
