JOB TITLE:                                     Para/Student Monitor
 
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:            Supervising students to help them reach their academic goals
 
REQUIREMENTS:
A.     Education Level:                   High School diploma, preference given to those with two years post high school education or higher.
                  
B.    Experience Desired:               Desire to work with middle school students.                                                                                                      
C.     Physical Requirements:        This position requires constant hand-eye and mind-eye coordination, hearing; intermittent speaking, standing, turning, walking and keyboarding are required.
                                               
D.    Other Requirements:              Good attendance, ability to adapt to frequently changing working environment.
 
REPORTS TO:                                 Principal, Director of Student Services     
         
RECEIVES GUIDANCE FROM:       Principal, Assistant Principals
                                                 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES: (other duties may be assigned)

1. Directs students to appropriate resources.
2. Follows discipline plan in place at the middle school and assigns consequences for inappropriate behavior.
3. Completes reports and records as assigned.
