Position:                    Bilingual Teacher (Elementary)
 
Effective Date:           September 1, 2025
 
Terms:                        Tenure Track, 10-month position
 
Qualifications:          

• Elementary School Teacher Grades K-6 Certification and Bilingual/Bicultural Education Certification? and Spanish-speaking required
• ESL and other certificates are a plus

 
Candidate Must:

• Be knowledgeable of New Jersey Student Learning Standards, WIDA, and TESOL standards
• Be knowledgeable in best practices in Bilingual/Bicultural education, English as a Second Language, Sheltered English Instruction, and Balanced Literacy
• Be knowledgeable of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy, as well as differentiated instruction based on student learning styles
• Be able to develop and implement effective instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of multilingual learners
• Be knowledgeable of the use of data to drive instruction and student growth
• Possess the skills and knowledge to create a safe classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the development and interests of the students
• Possess proven interpersonal communication skills
• Be familiar with ACCESS testing
• Show experience in carrying out language and reading assessments
• Work cooperatively with subject area teachers

 Community:
The Freehold Borough Public Schools is a Pre-K – 8 District in Monmouth County, NJ with a diverse student population of over 1,500 students.  The district is comprised of two elementary schools and one middle school. Eighth grade students attend the Freehold Regional High School District.
