Description: The district seeks special education teachers for Extended School Year (ESY).
Special Education Teachers: This program serves identified Pre-K-7 students. The anticipated dates of teacher institute days and student attendance are June 11, 2025 through July 17, 2025, M-Th from 8:15 am - 12:15 pm. Programming will be held at Oak Terrace School. Instruction will focus on Language Arts and Math.
Job Summary:
Dates: June 16 - July 17, 2025 **Mondays through Thursdays ONLY* *with 1 Institute Day on June 11, 2025; No School June 19
Summer School Institute Days: June 11 (8:30-3:00)
Summer School: June 16th - July 17th
Student Attendance: 19 Attendance Days
Staff Hours: 8:00 am - 12:15 pm
Student Hours: 8:15 am - 11:45 pm
Student hours: 8:15-11:45
Teacher hours: 8:00-12:15
Qualifications:
- Illinois Professional Educator License registered in Lake County
- Special Education Certification (LBSI endorsement)
Instructional hours will be compensated at a rate of $50.00 per hour. For a total of 66.5 instructional hours, the total payment will be $3,325.00.
Planning hours will be compensated at a rate of $40.00 per hour. For a total of 16 planning hours, the total payment will be $640.00.
A grand total of $3965.00
Rate is in accordance to the NSEA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
