Art Teacher - 1 Year Contract

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and/or Masters in the content area
• Must possess or be eligible for the following CTSDE Certification
  • (042) Art PK-12

Salary: Salary, work year and working conditions will be in accordance with the current contract between the Board of Education and the Suffield Educators Association.
 
Period of Employment:  Beginning the 2025/2026 School Year
 
Reports to:     Building Administrator
 
Position Expectations:

• Responsible for teaching art to students in grades PK-2, developing and implementing curriculum, creating lesson plans, and assessing student progress in the subject.
• Ability to positively engage teachers, students and families in the learning process.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues to improve learning for all students.
• Ability to use data to make instructional decisions.
• Ability to build organizational capacity around best practices, instruction and intervention, based on our continuous improvement work.
