SUPERVISOR Director of Special Services
POSTION GOAL
The Speech/Language Pathologist is responsible for managing, coordinating and implementing a comprehensive school speech, language and hearing program which should provide a continuum of services to meet the needs of the students.
QAULIFICATIONS
Education Bachelors or Masters Degree in Speech/Language Pathology
Certification Appropriate NH State License. Certification by the America Speech/Language and Hearing Association (ASHA)
Experience One to three years of work related experience preferred
Criminal Record Check Required per NH RSA 189:13-a
Pre Employment Physical Required per NH RSA 200:23 and 275:3
EVATUATION
Performance of position responsibilities will be evaluated annually in accordance with the approved administrative procedure for staff evaluations
GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Demonstrate aptitude and successful fulfillment of assigned performance
- Specialized training with individuals with special needs
- Such alternate to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide speech-language services to students in accordance with ASHA principals and District policy
- Administer, interpret and relate diagnostic and therapeutic interventions effectively in accordance with ASHA Scope of Practice, within the guidelines of District policy and procedure
- Demonstrate knowledge of current literature and incorporate applicable clinical ideas
- Develop and maintain a high degree of rapport with students, parents and colleagues
- Ensure treatment programs are clinically appropriate and based on the special education needs of the child
- Complete all required documentation on at timely bases as indicated by IEP’s
- Plan effectively and execute daily, weekly and monthly schedule
- Communicate with Director of Student Services regularly regarding clinical needs, goals and potential conflict situations
- Demonstrate flexibility in meeting the needs of the students, department and the District.

START DATE: 2025-2026 School Year
SCHEDULE: 186 days per year (follows the school year schedule, with the summer off)
PAY: $44,800 - $86,560 / year
UNION: Not part of the Hooksett Education Association, but follows HEA salary schedule
