Education/Certification:
Required:
- Able to do simple mathematics; Food Manager's Certificate
- Must possess a valid Texas Class C driver's license and be insurable by the District
Preferred:
- High school graduate or GED
Technology Proficiency Level 1 - Basic (use of):
- Computer operations
- Word processing
- Data entry Data archiving
- Job-related student and/or financial management system
- CC/SD Acceptable Use Policy and Technology Ethics/Etiquette
Experience:
Required:
- One year of manager training in food preparation and record keeping in CCISD Food Services Department
Preferred:
- One year as cafeteria helper in CCISD Food Services Department
Personal Required:
- Able to supervise cafeteria employees
- Able to organize work to meet meal service deadlines
- Knowledge of how food should look and taste
- Able to communicate with students, principals, teachers, parents, and food service personnel
- Knowledge of how to use a convection and/or conventional oven, range, steamtable, dish machine, cash register and calculator
- Relates positively to others
- Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of individuals
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in appraising situations and making decisions
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
- Proactive, self-motivated, and self-directed
- Exhibits professionalism
- Professional appearance and appropriate attire for job Demonstrates good judgment and knowledge of District policies and procedures which support the activities of the Department
Function
Under the supervision of the Field Supervisor for Food Services, is responsible for the entire cafeteria operation, including assembly, rethermalization, and service of food, employee training and supervision, sanitation, record control, ordering supplies, and cashiering.

Field Supervisor for Food Services
Reponsibilities:
- Responsible for following the Recipe for Satellite Feeding Book in the final assembly of hot lunch menu foods prepared and received from the Central Kitchen daily.
- Work with employees on proper work methods and procedures daily.
- Responsible for checking in the food forecasted and sent from the central warehouse.
- Ensure that all food received is properly accounted for as sold, leftover, or scrapped.
- Responsible for ordering supplies and equipment based on inventory levels set by the Assistant to the Director.
- Responsible for the proper closing and securing of the cafeteria at the end of the day.
- Supervise serving counter set up according to steamtable diagram daily.
- Evaluate daily menu and make suggestions for changes. Cashier and/or help replenish food daily during serving periods.
- Prepare all daily reports, records, and deposits.
- Ensure that all money collected is properly deposited on a daily basis.
- Responsible for the final daily cleaning of kitchen, dish room and dining room.
- Lift or carry 1 to 40 lbs. frequently, 41 to 60 lbs. occasionally.
- Bend, stoop and reach above shoulder level occasionally. Work with machinery frequently.
- Climb ladders, stairs, and ramps occasionally.
- Walk and stand frequently, sit occasionally. Drive occasionally.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned

- Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing); interpret data. Challenging situations: Ability to maintain emotional control under stress and meet established deadlines. Occasional prolonged or irregular hours.
