Position Description:
This position, under the direct supervision of a certified teacher will support students in the general education and/or special education classrooms and programs at both the elementary and secondary levels. Reliability and schedule availability throughout the school year are expected for this position.
Responsibilities May Include:
This position, under the direct supervision of a certified teacher will support students in the general education and/or special education classrooms and programs at both the elementary and secondary levels. Responsibilities May Include:
- Assisting and supporting the teacher(s) in the classroom setting
- Assisting with supervision of student(s) across various settings throughout the school day
- Assisting and supporting student(s) with academic and behavioral needs
- Working collaboratively with faculty and staff
- Good communication skills
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
- Patience and flexibility to adapt to various classroom/student needs
- Scheduling availability and flexibility
Qualifications:
- Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma
- Must have prior experience working with children
- Reliability and schedule availability throughout the school year are expected
