Anticipated Intermediate Social Studies (Bilingual English/Spanish) 2025-2026 School Year

The North Plainfield School District, a culturally diverse school district in Somerset County serving 3,700 students Pre-K through grade 12, seeks a dynamic, enthusiastic and innovative professional for the anticipated position of Intermediate School Social Studies Teacher (bilingual English/Spanish) for Grades 5 and 6.
 
For those still in the process of attaining certification, please know that the North Plainfield District is approved for participation in the NJDOE Limited Certificate Program which may allow you to work in a full time role as you complete your final certification requirement.    
 
Qualifications Include:

• Possess Elementary K-6 or Social Studies or Middle School with Subject Matter Specialization: Social Studies Grades 5-8 certification
• Bilingual/Bicultural Endorsement
• Individualize and differentiate instruction
• Strong knowledge Standards 
• Data-informed instruction – Ability to analyze student data to drive instructional decisions and support student growth. 
• Collaborative mindset – Ability to co-teach and work effectively with colleagues to support student success. 
• Instructional expertise – Proficiency in lesson planning, behavior management, curriculum development, assessment, and the use of diverse educational resources.
• Growth mindset – Commitment to ongoing professional development and instructional improvement

Salary: $66,765 (minimum) to $99,470 (maximum) commensurate with experience
