Cafeteria Monitor - (Part Time) - MES

Seeking a Cafeteria Monitor for Moyer Elementary, beginning immediately. Hours are 10:45AM – 1:15PM, Monday – Friday. 

Position Description 
An elementary school cafeteria monitor's job is to maintain a safe, orderly, and positive lunchroom environment, while supervising students during meals and recess. 
 

• Monitor student behavior:
  Circulate throughout the cafeteria to observe students and address any issues promptly. 
• Encourage good table manners:
  Prompt students to eat quietly, use utensils appropriately, and avoid disruptive behavior. 
• Maintain order:
  Ensure students wait in line, enter and exit the cafeteria in an orderly fashion, and follow established procedures. 
• Address issues:
  Redirect students and report more serious concerns to the principal or designated staff. 
• Supervise students:
  Ensure students are safe and supervised during lunch periods and when transitioning to and from the cafeteria. 

• Assist students: Help students with their trays, milk cartons, or other needs. 
• Clean up: Assist with cleaning tables, sweeping, mopping, and ensuring the cafeteria is tidy. 
• Replenish supplies: Replenish utensils, napkins, condiments, and other necessary supplies. 
• Communicate with staff: Report any issues or concerns to the principal or designated staff. 
• Follow procedures: Implement cafeteria plans and procedures consistently.
