Student Records Specialist
Purpose of the Position:
Maintain and operate the Student Information Systems (SIS) student records database; process new student registrations; provide technical assistance and support for the district and schools; assist the district and schools with data entry for required state and federal reporting.
System Strategic Goal I – Student Achievement
Assist school personnel with data management of Infinite Campus grade books, mid-term progress reports and report cards, transcripts, and other student records.
Maintain current instructional course catalog files, assist administrators, counselors and school data entry personnel with master and student scheduling.

Provide exemplary customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Respond to requests for assistance from end users.
Coordinate with SIS end users to properly support district departments.
Establish and maintain effective communication and coordination with district and school personnel and external agencies.
System Strategic Goal III – Efficient and Effective Operational Processes
Process new student registrations accurately and efficiently.
Troubleshoot SIS database; research, track and resolve or refer technical problems and discrepancies; provide training and technical support for school-based and district end users.
Maintain accounting of SIS end users and determine security access level; monitor security access to multiple databases and report concerns to supervisor.
Maintain and archive district permanent records for students, personnel, business, and others; coordinate routine destruction for nonpermanent records.
Assist with state reporting requirements.

JOB STANDARDS (Minimum qualifications needed to perform essential):
High School Diploma or GED
Knowledge of or ability to learn use of SIS database
JOB LOCATION (Place(s) where work is performed):
Centralized Student Registration Center
EQUIPMENT (machines, devices, tools, etc., used in job performance):
Standard Office Equipment, including Computer, Printer, Telephone, Copier, Fax Machine, and others
CRITICAL SKILLS/EXPERTISE (Needed for this job specifically):
Operation and maintenance of Infinite Campus or current Student Information
Systems database and state reporting portalsCommunications skills, typing/keyboarding, human relations skills, bookkeeping, organizational skills, time management, and note taking/information processing skills
Spanish speaking, preferred
