Instruction
  • Helps set expectations of, and monitors, instructional growth and student learning.
  • Gathers and analyzes data that shows measurable growth in student learning.
  • Creates initiatives to enhance the school’s instruction and student learning.
  • Completes faculty observations and evaluations.
  • Holds teachers accountable for all school policies.
  • Creates and maintains school policies related to academics.
Curriculum
  • Sets expectations of, and monitors, curricular growth.
  • Creates initiatives to enhance the school curriculum
  • Conducts curriculum observations to ensure alignment
  • Collects and analyzes curriculum data

  • Oversees creation and implementation of common assessments
  • Analyzes common assessment data

  • Sets SAT growth goals
  • Organizes & Facilitates SAT Prep
  • Collects and analyzes SAT data
 Advanced Placement
  • Sets standards for AP courses and instruction
  • Approves AP instructor placement
  • AP Course Audits
  • Monitors and analyzes AP exam score data
 Scheduling
  • Collaborates on school master schedule
  • Updates the curriculum guide annually
  • Reviews annual teacher placements
 Academic Support Teams
  • Department Chairs
 Academic Data
  • Collects, cleans, organizes, analyzes, and reports on all academic data
 Professional Learning
  • Establishes annual professional learning goals and objectives
  • Creates and monitors annual professional learning
  • Researches and finds professional learning opportunities and CEUs
  • Provides data and research for academic meetings
  • Helps train and facilitate data driven conversation
 Academic Meetings
  • Sets goals and agenda for academic meetings
  • August, January, etc.
New Faculty
  • Interviews all potential new teachers
  • New Teacher Meeting & Orientation
  • Monthly new teacher meetings
  • Represents MC at IL job fairs
 Recruiting
  • Participates in all major recruiting events and gives academic presentation
Completes School Accreditations
  • ISBE State Visit
  • Cognia AER & STEM
  • Collaborates on Blue Ribbon
