Position / Title:  Clerical Assistant (Liberty Elementary)

Function / Position Summary
 
Provide office support to instructional and administrative personnel to ensure organized and efficient operations within the school. Process requests for photocopying of classroom material with accuracy and timely delivery. Ensure excellent customer service to all customers.
Job Duties / Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the workflow of inquiries and incoming work order requests.
  • Process materials via photocopy, collation, lamination, etc. within requested timelines (as assigned).
  • Monitor and advise the secretary of copy supply inventory to ensure proper on-hand stock.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail, documents, and correspondence.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  •  Bilingual – Spanish/English – written/verbal (preferred).
Experience / Knowledge
  • Related work experience preferred.
  • Teaching experience is preferred, but not necessary for hiring.
Physical Demands
  • Requires prolonged sitting or standing.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. with proper technique.
  • Occasionally requires stooping, bending, and reaching.
Terms of Employment
  • This is a temporary position. Salary and benefits as established by the Board of Education. U-46 reserves the right to terminate the position by the third day of student attendance if a minimum number of students do not register or enroll.

ESY – Liberty Elementary School Summer Job Description 2025

Summer Extended School Year (ESY) staff will support Liberty Elementary School.

Two days of professional development are required for summer school. Those dates are May 28 and May 29. ESY begins on June 2 and ends July 2.

ESY occurs Monday through Thursday with no school on June 19, 2025 to celebrate the Juneteenth holiday. Staff must be available on all days during the summer school sessions.

ESY staff are expected to be at school 15 minutes prior to the school day and 15 minutes after the school day concludes.

Staff hours: 7:45 am - 11:45 am       

Student school day: 8:00 am - 11:30 am


DUSA members will be paid their DUSA rate.
