Music Teacher
- Effective date: September 2025
Music Certification required
Plans and implements music classes and programs to meet individual needs, interests and abilities
Guides the learning process towards achievement of music curriculum goals with clear objectives for each grade level
Employs methods and materials appropriate to meeting objectives
Plans, supervises and evaluates purposeful assignments for students
Assesses student accomplishments in music on a regular basis and provides progress reports
Identifies and provides for students with outstanding ability in music areas, as well as those with little or no aptitude
Supervises the vocal music program
Willingness to teach music-themed electives (i.e, guitar, keyboard, world music drumming, etc.)
Counsels with colleagues, students and/or parents as needed
Salary per negotiated contract
