QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma
Serv-Safe Certified
Able to read and make adjustments on quantity cooking recipes
Able to use commercial kitchen equipment
Able to pass or proof of passing physical
Excellent attendance and punctuality preferred
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education and/or Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
DUTIES:
Complete production records daily for USDA
Abide by health, sanitation, and safety rules
Assist with Breakfast in the classroom
Maintain kitchen equipment and assist with food ordering
Batch cooking
Maintain accurate production records, including temperatures
Assist in cleaning and storing equipment and food supplies
Adhere to FIFO and health department rules and regulations
Maintain health, safety, and sanitation standards for staff, students, and equipment at all times
Responsible for understanding the basic principles by which the School Breakfast and Lunch Programs are operated and keeps up to date on School Nutrition regulations and codes
Responsible to ensure that meals are ready to serve at the time(s) set by the building administrator
Maintain a professional and courteous manner with fellow employees, building staff and students
Complete required professional standards training
As assigned by the Food Service Management Team
RESPONSIBLE TO:
Director of Food Service
WORK SCHEDULE:
8:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. (Monday – Friday)
