Position: Tiger Tales Program Coordinator
Qualifications:
Education level - Bachelor of Science degree in education or related field preferred.
Certification or Licensure - Valid Missouri Teaching Certificate preferred.
Experience desired - Demonstrates strong initiative, adaptability, and the ability to collaborate effectively. The ideal candidate should possess excellent problem-solving skills, a proactive mindset, and a passion for creating enriching learning environments for children.
Other Requirements - Must successfully pass a background check that is satisfactory to the Board of Education. Also, must possess excellent organizational, oral, written, time management, and computer skills. In addition, a complete transcript(s) of college credit must be on file before the beginning of each school year. It is the responsibility of the coordinator to maintain a valid Missouri teaching certificate in the content area per DESE requirements.
General Summary: The Tiger Tales Program Coordinator oversees all aspects of the district’s before and after-school programs, including supervision of site directors, staff, and students.
Performance Responsibilities:
Design, develop, manage, and lead all elements of the before and after school program at all district sites
Coordinates and delivers training opportunities for staff
Works with the District Office regarding child care program software/parent portal and program budgets in terms of resources and personnel
Establishes program operating policies, procedures, and manuals
Evaluates workers in the program
Serves as the liaison to the Director of the Childcare program
Acts in a professional manner at all times. Expected to conduct themselves as a representative of Willard Public Schools
Oversees the site director's duties including daily responsibilities, attendance, scheduling, evaluations, and constructive feedback
Meets with site directors periodically and assists with activity planning, lessons, and themes
Assists site directors in dealing with parents and school staff as necessary
Creates and provides information to parents about activities and events
Oversee that sites and site directors are following and enforcing fair and consistent practices created by the district and program
Provides assistance to site directors to ensure positive enforcement of discipline problems are adhered to established by the Tiger Tales program
Accepts the responsibility to work beyond job description as situations arise
Perform any other duties assigned by the Assistant Director of Teaching and Learning
