School Psychologist (Part-Time)

Job Title: Part-Time School Psychologist 25-26 School Year
Department: Special Education Department
Reports to: Director of Special Education
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The duties of the School Psychologist are to provide support to all stakeholders, follow the rules and regulations of IDEA and Article 7, demonstrate the ability to collect and interpret data and support IEP development. Attend M-Teams and case conferences. Complete referral requests for potential special education services, work as a team member to problem solve, provide suggestions to research valid supports, accommodations, and interventions based on the learner areas of needs, and provide Training to team members of the categorical descriptions and profiles for students in need of special education services as Article 7 describes.
Aptitudes Required or Desire: Experience and skill set to provide formulations as to the root cause of learning issues and interventions to reduce learning barriers.
Additional Duties: Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Director of Student Services and Special Education and/or as designated by the Superintendent.

Equipment
Uses standard office equipment such as personal computers and tablets, electronic testing protocols, printers, copy and fax machines, and telephones.
Travel Requirements
Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.
Physical and Mental Demands, Work Hazards
Works in standard office and school building environments.
While performing the duties of this job, the team member may be exposed to students who may become dysregulated. The team member will have to demonstrate the ability to use de-escalation techniques and behavior management with students under such circumstances. The team member will be required to stand, walk, sit, grasp, reach, bend, kneel, crouch, squat, hear, type, and write. The team member will also be exposed to normal office conditions and usual office equipment such as phones, computers, copiers, files, etc. The team member must be able to independently push, pull, lift, move, and carry objects weighing up to thirty-five (35) lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include near, far, and field of vision.
Qualifications Profile
Certification/License:
Master's degree in School Psychology
Education:
Masters from an accredited college or university in a related field.
Experience:
Experience working in school settings preferred experience in the Indiana IEP system.
