Summary of position:
The Occupational Therapist enables children to access their educational programs through identification and therapy when needed.

Job Responsibilities (see attached job description for additional details):

  • Provide initial evaluation and re-evaluation of children.
  • Evaluate functional strengths and weaknesses through observation and administration of standardized and non-standardized procedures in:
      1.   Neuromuscular development.
      2.   Sensory-motor integration.
      3.   Fine motor skills.
      4.   Gross motor skills.
      5.   Proper positioning.
      6.   Visual motor skills.
      7.   Oral motor and feeding skills.
      8.   Pre-vocational skills.
  • Provide appropriate staff with demonstration of Occupational Therapy programs and services.
  • Work integratively within the classroom setting and with other team members.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • PA State Certification/License.
  • Knowledge of and experience with neuro-developmental and sensory motor system.
  • Experience working with students with various levels of disabilities in pre-school, school-age, and/or transition to adult life programs.
  • Demonstrated commitment to and understanding of special education.

Schedule:
Full-time, 10 months/year

Salary:
  •             Bachelor = $49,919 to $78,690
  • Bach+15 credits = $50,636 to $79,415
  • Bach+24 credits = $51,427 to 80,215
  •              Masters = $61,370 to 90,955
  • Mast+15 credits = $62,063 to 91,655
  • Mast+30 credits = $62,755 to 92,355
  • Mast+45 credits = $64,141 to 93,755
  • Mast+60 credits = $65,377 to 95,005
