Position Overview:
Basalt High School seeks a dynamic and experienced leader to serve as Head Soccer Coach for our competitive program. This position requires a highly qualified individual who embodies professionalism, dedication, and a strong commitment to developing athletes both on and off the field.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive soccer program that aligns with the mission and vision of Basalt High School Athletics.
Create and execute game strategies, practice plans, and training sessions tailored to optimize team performance.
Serve as a mentor and role model to student-athletes, emphasizing the importance of academic achievement, sportsmanship, and personal development.
Collaborate with athletic staff to ensure compliance with all state, district, and school policies.
Manage all aspects of the program, including equipment inventory, scheduling, fundraising, and community engagement.
Foster a culture of inclusivity, discipline, and excellence within the soccer program.
Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in education, sports management, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
A minimum of 10 years of head coaching experience at the high school, collegiate, or professional level.
Proven track record of success in building and sustaining competitive soccer programs.
Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and mentor assistant coaches.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of CHSAA rules and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Nationally recognized coaching certification.
Experience coaching at the varsity level in Colorado or similar competitive environments.
Commitment to continuing professional development and lifelong learning in coaching techniques.
Salary Range: $4,110 - $5,096 depending on paid experience.
