LOCATION: Administration Center
SUPERVISOR: Superintendent
FLSA Status: Exempt
Union/Non-Union: Non-Union

Salary Range: $110,000-$145,000

Administrative Assistant

Additional Responsibilities: Title I Director, McKinney-Vento Liaison, MTSS, Grants Management

JOB SUMMARY:

The Director of Teaching, Learning, and Innovation is responsible for developing the district’s curriculum, promoting best instructional practices, overseeing student assessments and providing professional development in order to improve student achievement.  

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To excel in this role, the individual must meet the following key responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, evaluation, and implementation of the district’s curricula and instructional practices.

  • Oversee curriculum development processes, including resource and curriculum adoptions.

  • Oversee and lead district programs for English Learners. 

  • Evaluate instructional programs and recommend improvements.

  • Support teacher instructional practices.

  • Promote innovative learning approaches for students and staff.

  • Manage and coordinate state and district student assessments.

  • Provide professional development for all district staff.

  • Oversee the district’s new teacher mentoring program.

  • Write, monitor, and evaluate state and federal grants.

  • Plan and execute key faculty, staff, student, and community events.

  • Coordinate professional development days, School Improvement Days, and after school workshops.

  • Facilitate and participate in committees.

  • Oversee key district programs. 

  • Collaborate on district-wide resources like the District Calendar and Student Handbooks.

  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by district leadership.

  • Serve as a resource for principals

  • Attend all Board of Education meetings or special committee meetings as requested

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree with an Administrative Endorsement (Doctorate preferred)

  • Minimum of three years of successful teaching experience

  • Successful experience as a school administrator

  • Deep knowledge of, and demonstrated ability in all facets of curriculum, assessment and instruction

  • Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to work flexible hours and maintain confidentiality

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Additional tasks as assigned.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY: The role requires frequent walking and standing.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment is generally stable, with minimal exposure to unusual temperatures, noise, or hazards. The position requires extended and non-traditional hours to fulfill job duties, as well as participation in organization-sponsored events and meetings.

LICENSES/CREDENTIAL:  Professional Educator License with administrative endorsement 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 month position.  Begins July 1.

EVALUATION: The performance of this role is evaluated according to the Board's policy on evaluating professional personnel.
