Description
SECONDARY GUIDANCE COUNSELOR
Rudyard Jr/Sr High School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Secondary Guidance Counselor to join our team. Our ideal candidate is passionate about helping students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. Responsibilities:
- Provide academic and personal guidance to students in grades 7-12
- Assist students with college and career planning, including post-secondary options and scholarship applications
- Develop and implement programs that support student well-being and academic success
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student progress
- Facilitate the resolution of behavioral and emotional issues in a constructive manner
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions as needed
Qualifications:
- Required: NT endorsement (or ability to obtain) is required
- Previous experience in a secondary guidance counseling or similar role preferred
- Valid teaching license preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and parents
