TRAFFIC CONTROL - FLAGGER at EXETER HIGH SCHOOL 

POSITION SUMMARY

The School Flagger at Exeter High School is responsible for controlling and directing vehicle traffic after school at the entrance of Blue Hawk Drive on Route 27 to ensure a continuous flow of traffic. The hours for this position is 2:15-3:15 when school is in session. The hourly rate is $50.00.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Coordinates traffic by stopping, slowing, and directing vehicles during peak school dismissal times, by using flags, signs and hand signals.
• Setting up and removing traffic cones, barriers, and signage, when needed.
• Prioritize school busses exiting the school site in a timely manner.
• Ensure safety clothing is worn at all times.
• Report any safety concerns or incidents to school administration or law enforcement.
• Participate in training when requested by supervisor.

• Self-reliance: Being able to direct traffic for long periods of time with minimal or no supervision
