Location: South Ridge School, Culver, MN
Hours: Year Round Employment, Monday - Friday, 30-40 hrs/wk
Bargaining Unit: Operating Engineers, Local No. 70
Bus Driver Wage: $123.75/Full Day $61.88/Half Day
Custodian Wage: $17.26/Hour

Position Details:
South Ridge School is seeking a dedicated individual for a combined Custodian/Bus Driver role. This full-time position is essential to creating a clean, safe, and positive environment for students and staff. The role involves custodial duties, which include maintaining the school’s interior and exterior areas, as well as transporting students safely according to assigned routes and schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
Custodial Duties:
- Perform routine cleaning and maintence of school premises, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment.
- Operate small equipment, including lawn mowers, genie lifts, small tractors, and power tools for facility upkeep.
- Maitain outdoor areas as needed and manage waste collection and disposal.
- Safely transport students along designated routes, maintaining punctuality according to school schedules.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections, ensuring the vehicle's mechanical conditions and safety features meet requirements.
- Keep the bus interior and exterior clean and manage effective student behavior while driving.

- High School Diploma or GED
- MN driver's license (Bus driver's endorsement provided with training if not certified)
- 1 year experience in general maintenance and/or custodial/cleaning services preferred.
- Must complete pre-employment requirements such as a background check, DOT physical, and a drug/alcohol screen.
