Summary:
Anna P. Mote Elementary School seeking Multilingual Learner (MLL) teacher. The MLL teacher provides targeted support and services to students who speak English as another language. The successful candidate will work closely with students from diverse cultures to develop student skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing English.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Establish classroom expectations and routines for middle school multilingual learners.
• Work closely with other staff to coordinate services provided for MLL students.
• Plan lessons, including designing activities with learning objectives using Common Core State Standards and WIDA language development standards, developing assessments to monitor student growth and understanding, and adapting curriculum to students' needs.
• Bilingual (Spanish) strongly preferred.
• Use data to drive instruction in content and language acquisition, with focus on speaking, listening, reading, and writing in English.
• Work collaboratively with content area teachers and paraprofessionals to support all English language learners in content area classes.
• Maintain records and document student progress.
• Implement responsible use of technology protocols and encourage effective use of technology in a language learning environment. 
• Use language teaching strategies to increase English proficiency for students who speak a language other than English at home.
• Administer the WIDA Screener to students.
• Administer the ACCESS for ELLs assessment per State and Federal regulations.
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
TESOL- Teacher of English to Speakers of Other Languages or Bilingual (Spanish)

Required Certificate(s):

• Delaware Initial License or Continuing or Advanced
• Certified in English to Speakers of other languages
