Position: Long Term Substitute - 1st Grade Teacher / 1.0 FTE - Monday -Friday
Position Summary:
The employee is primarily responsible for effective teaching and learning for the assigned subject(s) following district approved curriculum, instruction and assessment practices. Primary responsibility shall include student safety and appropriate collaboration and attention to each student’s readiness to learn including needed guidance, discipline, and welfare. In carrying out their responsibilities, teachers follow District policy and standard practices and administrative unit regulations.
Qualifications:

Job Availability: Approximately 9/30/2024-12/20/2024
Salary/Benefits: In an effort to attract and retain Substitute Teachers effective August 26, 2024, Oregon Trail School District has temporarily increased the Substitute Teacher daily rate to $300 per day. This increase is temporary and will expire on June 17, 2025.
- $300 per day if the substitute worked more than 4 hours a day
- $150 per day if the substitute worked less than 4 hours a day
- No increase in the daily rate for working 10 or more consecutive days in one assignment (meaning the sub is paid $300 per day regardless of the number of consecutive days worked)
