Courier/Administrative Assistant

Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills;
- Ability to follow directions and work with a minimum of supervisor direction;
- Valid Connecticut driver’s license;
- Experience in mailroom and delivery procedures;
- Ability to interact with school staff;
- Ability to lift and carry weights between 25 to 75 pounds, and work in poor weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and snow
- Computer skills required: Microsoft Office Suite
- Provide daily secretarial duties to the Human Resources Department (60% of job responsibilities)
- Run the centralized mailroom function for Central Office and all schools;
- Sort, deliver, and post all mail and parcels throughout the Westport School System, and, as appropriate, to members of the Board of Education, Board of Finance, and Representative Town Meeting (overtime required);
- Coordinate large mailings and bulk mailings from all areas of the Westport school system;
- Responsible for maintenance and supplies for central office copier and mailroom equipment;
- Perform daily errands, tasks, and assume such other responsibilities as assigned;
- Maintain employee staff room including cleaning of appliances;
- Organize and maintain vault archive records;
- Take new employee photo and create I.D. badge and send to appropriate school;
- Responsible for copying projects as needed;
Salary Range: According to the Secretary contract
