Full-Time 7th and 8th Grade Bilingual (Spanish/English) Science Teacher
Location: Riverview School
School Year: 2024-25 and beyond
Riverview School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic full-time Bilingual Science Teacher for 7th and 8th grades to join our 50/50 two-way dual language program to start immediately. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both Spanish and English and demonstrate a strong passion for Science and the Spanish language, with the ability to teach at or near a native level. Building exceptional relationships with students and effectively engaging them is essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Science instruction in both Spanish and English, adhering to the 50/50 dual language model.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of a diverse student population.
- Foster an inclusive and culturally responsive classroom environment.
- Build strong relationships with students to enhance engagement and learning outcomes.
- Manage an advisory (CREW) group and model the RFSD Habits of Scholar.
- Sponsor and support existing student programs as needed.
- Provide a demonstration of teaching ability to a diverse range of students.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Colorado Teaching License with a Secondary Science Endorsement or the ability to obtain.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience teaching in elementary or middle school settings.
- Proven track record of working with a diverse student population, including English Language Learners.
- Background in implementing culturally responsive instruction and strong literacy and mathematics instruction skills.

- Openness to and experience with dual language education.
- Willingness to receive coaching, feedback, and engage in self-reflection to improve teaching practices.
- Demonstrated values-driven instructional leadership and professionalism.
- Personal commitment to improving outcomes for all learners and passion for Science and Spanish language and culture.
Compensation:
- Pay Range: $54,000 to $84,320
Based on education and years of experience; this salary will be earned over a 185-day calendar and paid over a twelve-month contract period.
Annual salary noted above is based on an 8-hour day (FTE 1) and full days worked calendar. Any position that is less than a full FTE/8 hours per day or has a late start will be prorated accordingly.
