Stealth Science Advisor

This is a temporary position, and the District cannot accept applicants requiring a J1 Visa for this position. 

Job Summary: Stealth Science Advisors are an integral part of the Stealth Sciences grant, focusing on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) and providing STEAM instruction for elementary students in 4th and 5th grades.

Essential Functions:

• Be responsible for all aspects of the student club; including conducting the club, continual student supervision, guiding fun STEAM lessons, and recording needed information for grant purposes
• Attend Advisor trainings
• Coordinate and conduct a Stealth Sciences STEAM Family Night
• Maintain and facilitate communication between the building principal, students, parents, and the Military Student Support Coordinator
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Salary: $26/hour

1. High school diploma or GED.
2. Experience conducting a club with elementary or middle school students.
3. Must demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, record keeping, time management, and organizational skills.
4. Knowledge of STEAM and the scientific methods.
