School Nutrition Manager
REPORTS TO: Director of School Nutrition and Principal
Purpose of the position: To organize, direct, train, and assist school nutrition personnel in the daily preparation of large quantities of food. Maintain the policies and standards of the board of education, state and federal school nutrition programs regarding food preparation, sanitation, meal service and record keeping.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (Functions essential to attaining job objectives)
Strategic Goal Area I—Student Achievement
1. Ensure all students have an opportunity to receive a healthy meal.
2. Provide nutrition education materials enabling the schools to educate the students.
3. Coordinate with the System Leadership Team and Director of School Nutrition to provide assistance with school wide initiatives for the current year.
Strategic Goal Area II—Stakeholder Engagement and Loyalty
1. Involve parents, students, teachers, in activities related to nutrition education and school nutrition programs.
Strategic Goal Area III—Efficient and Effective Operational Processes
1. Operate school program consistent with all government requirements.
Strategic Goal Area IV—Continuous System and School Improvement
1. Provide on-the-job training and supervision for all employees in all areas of operations.
2. Keep accurate financial records.
OTHER EXPECTATIONS
1. Adhere to the Code of Ethics for Educators in Georgia
2. Demonstrate prompt and regular attendance /timeliness
3. Complete assignments and requirements on time and in compliance with directions
4. Maintain accurate, complete, and appropriate records and file reports promptly
5. Maintain confidentiality of information and records for students and staff
JOB STANDARDS (Minimum qualifications needed to perform essential job functions):
1. High school diploma or GED
2. At least three (3) years experience in institutional school nutrition or similar field
3. Ability to lift 30 pounds and to stand for extended periods of time on hard floor surfaces
4. Ability to read, spell, write legibly, and perform basic math functions
5. Practice good personal hygiene
JOB LOCATION (Place(s) where work is performed): Individual schools
EQUIPMENT (Machines, devices, tools, etc., used in job performance): Computer, Calculator, Typewriter, Cash Register, Institutional Kitchen Equipment
