Instructional Paraprofessionals

The North Plainfield School District, a culturally diverse school community in Somerset County serving 3,700 students Pre-K through grade 12, seeks a dynamic, enthusiastic and innovative professional for the position of instructional paraprofessionals.  As an Instructional Paraprofessional, you will play a vital role in creating a culture of success where all students thrive. Qualifications Include:

• 60 college credits or passing grade on the paraprofessional Praxis required
• Ability to work productively in a collaborative setting
• Experience with students preferred
• Bilingual preferred
• Assists with individualized instruction
• Works with small groups of students under the supervision of the classroom teacher
• Reinforce material initially introduced by the teacher
• Complete data collection forms in order to support student progress
• Assist students with projects, activities, crafts, curriculum tasks, etc.
• Assists in supervision of (playground, etc.)
• Performs other appropriate duties as assigned by the classroom teacher, Principal, Assistant Principal, Supervisor, or Director

Salary: $19.17 per hour (minimum) to $24.50 per hour (maximum) commensurate with experience
