Description: : The Long Term Substitute Provides responsive, rigorous, and differentiated instruction to ensure all students are successful.
Schedule: 12/1/2024-12/1/2025; Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 8:00 am - 3:30 pm; Tuesday - 8:00 am - 4:00 pm; Friday - 8:00 am - 3:00 pm.
Reporting Structure: Reports to the Building Administrator
Qualifications:
- Illinois Professional Educator License or Substitute License required
- Proficient with basic technology such as Google and Zoom
- Strong work ethic
Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with colleagues to use student learning data from common assessments to adjust instruction, monitor student growth, and evaluate instructional practices
- Engages students in learning through clear communication with and among students, high level questioning, differentiated learning activities, and relevant materials
- Demonstrates mastery in their instructional plans and practices, integrating a wide range of effective pedagogical approaches
- Demonstrates extensive knowledge of content and pedagogy, and models adaptation of content to meet specific student needs
- Creates a positive, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment
- Interacts with students in a mutually respectful and caring manner
- Effectively manages classroom procedures, and actively engages students in meeting clear behavior expectations
- Demonstrates well-developed interpersonal and communication skills with all stakeholders
- Exhibits integrity, leadership, and professionalism as a positive member of the school community
- Facilitate the district’s efforts to assure educational equity and academic success for all students.
- Demonstrates flexibility and dependability
Salary: Compensation is based on the Teacher pay scales in the collective Bargaining Agreement.
