NOTES: 180 Day contract / Benefits with a 20 hours a week / Earn between $13.43-$18.68(based on years of experience) / 4 paid holidays
TITLE: Cafeteria Worker - Full Time - 4 hrs
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Has a high school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate
- Has received or is eligible to receive certification as a school food service employee by the Division of School Food Service
- Has specialized skills in basic mathematics
- Is neat and clean in person, and in work habits
- Has ability to read and follow written directions and recipes
- Has the ability to lift and move objects weighing at least 50 pounds numerous times per day
- Has ability to operate equipment used in school cafeteria such as cash register, slicer, grater, mixer, steamer, frying machine, dishwasher, steam cart, ovens, etc.
REPORTS TO: Manager Cafeteria
JOB GOAL: To serve the students attractive and nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness and warmth
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be familiar with written guidelines, policies, procedures and directions from supervisor related to job responsibilities
- Assist in preparation of food
- Assist in collecting money for meals and beverages sold
- Move equipment, supplies and furniture as required for area of responsibility
- Keep his or her work area clean
- Serve food
- Assist with dish washing
- Assist with end of day cleaning and leftover storage
- Assist in recording daily records
- Attend in-service training or food service workshops
- Perform other duties consistent with the position assigned as may be requested by the supervisor
