Bus Mechanic, Class VII
CDL Class B (no Student/Passanger endorsement needed.)
Full-time/ 8 hours per day/ 5 days per week
5:30 am - 2:00 pm
Location: Transportation Department
Salary: $27.16 - $29.36
Description: This position involves the maintenance, service, and repair of the district’s fleet of buses/other vehicles and equipment to ensure safety and maximum operation efficiency.
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, Ability -
Mechanical knowledge of buses and trucks; knowledge of and ability to use tools and to follow correct procedures in repair/maintenance of vehicles, both gasoline and diesel. Must be neat and well groomed in appearance and have a desire to work as part of a team. Willingness to respond to emergency calls to work. Perform other duties assigned by the Vehicle and Building Supervisor.
Education/Training -
High school diploma or equivalent required, formal training in vehicle maintenance/repair desired. CDL license required.
