Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
In this exciting role, you will wear many hats! You'll develop and deliver an engaging curriculum for a variety of junior high Specials courses, with the specific subjects chosen based on student interest and district needs. These courses may include, but are not limited to:
Physical Education (PE)
Art
Preparing for Colleges & Careers
You'll foster a love of learning in a fun and supportive environment, helping students make connections between seemingly disparate subjects.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement creative lesson plans that meet curriculum standards for assigned Specials courses.
Utilize a variety of engaging instructional methods, incorporating hands-on activities, project-based learning, and technology.
Ensure a safe and positive learning environment for all students.
Provide individualized support and differentiation for students with diverse learning needs.
Collaborate with other teachers and administrators to develop a cohesive interdisciplinary program.
Assess student learning and progress through various methods.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and guardians.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (multiple subject credential a plus).
Teaching license or eligibility for licensure in Indiana. .
Experience working with junior high students (preferred).
Demonstrated ability to create innovative and engaging lessons across various disciplines
Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
Strong commitment to student success and fostering a positive learning environment.
Contract Days: 184 Days
Salary: Starting at $41,000 for 0 years experience, negotiable for teachers with experience
