Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated social worker to join our team and support students in grades K-5. The social worker will play a vital role in addressing the diverse social, emotional, and behavioral needs of our students, collaborating with educators, families, and community resources to create a supportive network for student success.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling to students to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
  • Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans to support students' social and emotional development.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop strategies to address students' needs and promote positive behavior.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support for students experiencing personal or family-related difficulties.
  • Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and community resources to coordinate support services for students and their families.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and collaborate with special education staff to support students with disabilities.
  • Implement school-wide programs and initiatives to promote a positive school climate and prevent bullying and harassment.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student records, progress notes, and documentation of services provided.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in social work from an accredited institution.
  • State licensure or certification as a social worker (LCSW, LMSW, or equivalent).
  • Experience working with children and families in an educational or clinical setting, preferably in an elementary school environment.
  • Strong understanding of child development, behavior management strategies, and evidence-based interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
