2024-2025 Classroom Instructional Assistant at D28 Schools
Starting Hourly Rate: $19.15 per hour or commensurate with experience
Benefits Eligibility: Eligible for part-time or full-time benefits for classified personnel based on assigned schedule
Work Year: 8/19/2024 - 6/3/2025
Days Off: 10 holidays plus winter break (10 days) and spring break (5 days)
Schedule: As assigned by Building Principal, plus opportunity for additional compensation
24 Pay Schedule: 1st Pay on Friday 8/30/2024; last pay on Monday 6/30/2025, plus 3 additional summer pays also paid on 6/30/2025

Medical Insurance PPO Single - $37.26 deduction per pay
Medical Insurance PPO Family - $588.75 deduction per pay
Medical Insurance HMO Single - $24.88 deduction per pay
Medical Insurance HMO Family - $387.03 deduction per pay
Dental Insurance Single - District-paid
Dental Insurance Family - $30.60 deduction per pay
Vision Insurance Single - District-paid
Vision Insurance Family - $5.77 per pay
Long Term Disability Insurance
After 90 consecutive days of qualified disability; personnel who work at least 35 hours per week receive 66 2/3% of their base salary

A short-term counseling and referral service to help employees and their families with personal, family or job related issues or problems; services are free or at a reduced cost to employees and household family members.
Computer Purchase
An interest-free loan is available and must be repaid up to a period not to exceed two years

Qualifications & Licensure:
- Paraprofessional Educator License; How To Apply For a Paraprofessional Educator License
- Basic level of technology and understanding of Google
Responsibilities include:
- Providing small group and individual instruction to students as directed and supervisied by the classroom teacher
- Clerical duties include grading papers, photo copying, etc.
- Supervision of students during non-instructional activities that occur during the regular 3.5-4.5 hour work schedule
- Opportunity for additional supervision of students during playground, recess and/or lunchroom duty that occurs beyond the regular 3.5-4.5 hour work schedule as assigned if needed
- Opportunities to substitute teach with proper certifications (including substitute certificate)
