After School Care Director must enjoy working with school aged children/teens. They are responsible for:
- Ensuring safety of all children in the program
- Creating an enriching, fun, and safe environment
- Planning activities
- Interacting positively with children and their families
- Working independently as well as with a team
Requirements
This person must be available to work:
- After School:
- Monday thru Friday – 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm
- This is a part time, unbenefited position.
- After School Care meets on regular school days when school is in session.
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Protecting God’s Children Certificate and Background Check required.
- Prior child care experience is preferred, but not required.
- A background in education and/or college coursework in recreation education is a plus, but not required.
- Other training may be required after employment begins.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently be required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, see, feel with hands, reach with arms, walk up or down multiple flights of stairs, and be physically able to perform duties as assigned, including the ability to lift up to 20-30 pounds if needed.
- Works in standard office and school building environments but also has ability to work outdoors during outdoor student activities.
