Pre-Kindergarten Lead Teacher, St. Matthew, Seattle

Do you love teaching and sharing your knowledge and faith to inspire kids to learn and grow? We are seeking a positive, innovative, engaging, and student-centered Pre-Kindergarten Teacher.
The PreK program is licensed by the State of Washington and is a part time program with full day option for 4 year olds.
Typical Hours:

• Mondays: 8:15-2:00
• Tuesdays-Fridays: 8:15-3:00
• PreK days follow the school calendar for holidays and breaks

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Early childhood experience preferred
• Two professional references
• Understanding of developmentally appropriate practices
• Have a warm and friendly personality, be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others and be able to relate well to students
• Possess strong work ethic
• Be punctual with minimal absences

Conditions of Employment:

• Pass background check in MERIT and VIRTUS
• Be CPR, First Aid, and Blood Borne Pathogen certified or obtain certification upon hire
• Complete Child Care Basics (to be completed with 90 days of hire)
• Maintain 10-hour annual in-service training
• Show proof of MMR immunization and Tuberculosis test

Duties:

• Overseeing all program operations
• Supervises all activities to ensure safety at all times
• Plans a variety of activities
• Interacts with students and families
• Maintains a professional attitude with students and families
• Treats all students with dignity and respect
• Helps to maintain a neat and organized space
• Helps with the general housekeeping tasks
• Reports to the principal

Salary: Depending on experience and qualifications, the salary ranges from $45,760-$52,000. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.
