Job Overview:
Are you passionate about science and ready to make a difference? We’re searching for a High School Science Teacher who can turn textbooks into treasure maps and classrooms into laboratories of discovery. Your mission: to inspire at-risk students, turning their potential into achievement and their curiosity into a lifelong love of science.
What You'll Do:
Science Sleuth: Develop and deliver engaging, hands-on science lessons that captivate students and ignite their curiosity.
Student Champion: Build meaningful relationships with students, understanding their unique challenges and supporting their academic and personal growth.
Experiment Extraordinaire: Create a classroom environment where experimentation and inquiry are the norms, and where students feel safe to explore and make mistakes.
Assessment Aficionado: Design creative assessments to track student progress, providing constructive feedback that encourages growth.
Collaborative Creator: Work closely with fellow educators to share ideas, strategies, and best practices, fostering a supportive and innovative learning community.
What You'll Need:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Certification: Valid Ohio teaching license with a science endorsement.
Experience: Previous teaching experience, especially with at-risk youth or in alternative education settings, is highly desirable.
Skills: Deep knowledge of high school science curriculum, excellent communication skills, and the ability to make learning engaging and fun.
Passion: A love for science and a commitment to helping students succeed.
