CANDIDACY POOL 2024-25 ~ SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST

SALARY: Placement on Special Services Salary Schedule
$86,600 - $104,856* based on 200 workdays
*2% per Educational Enhancement

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid California Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Psychology 
• Strong understanding of IDEA, regulations related to special education, case law, timelines, compliance, and evidence based practices
• Ability to Pass DOJ Background/Fingerprint Check
• Tuberculosis Clearance
• Valid California Driver License

 

 

• Strong knowledge of instructional strategies and psychological testing
• Experience providing school-based counseling services to students ages 5-22
• Ability to conduct psycho-educational testing as part of a multidisciplinary team; complete reports and develop behavior plans, provide in-service to staff; provide counseling support to students
• Experience in a School District or County Office of Education
• Experience with special needs population
• Experience with students on the Autism Spectrum
• Understanding of Response to Intervention (RtI)
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in teams
• Training and experience with Patterns of Strengths and Weaknesses
• Board Certified Behavior Analyst Credential (BCBA)
