Summary
Assist the Director of Technology in the area of technology planning and implementation at assigned schools as part of the Customer Care Teams.  Provide training and support regarding the areas of technology training and coaching in the district.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Design, organize, implement, and evaluate professional development training for administrators, teachers, staff, and parents in the use of district-acquired technology.
  • Provides training to teachers in the integration of current technologies to meet curriculum goals and to support differentiated learning.
  • Model technology rich lessons in the classroom and support the classroom teacher with technology integration best practices.
  • Provides resource information relating to new techniques and practices that relate to the use of technology and that enable students to use technology as a learning tool.  Provide support to teachers for curriculum-related technology resources.
  • Works to assure technology and communication tools are being optimally utilized to support teacher and student learning.
  • Provide leadership in the formation of technology-related goals and objectives for the district. Interpret programs and projects as requested. 
  • Provide leadership in the implementation of a technology curriculum that aligns with national and state standards and promotes 21st century skills.
  • Advises leadership on instructional technology issues. Provide solutions and work on resolving any related issues.
  • Coordinate efforts with instructional coaches and the Director of Curriculum.
  • Assist the administration in the development, implementation, and creation of evaluation tools used for administrative duties (i.e. formal, informal evaluations, procedures etc.).
  • Understands and promotes the use of information and communications technologies.
  • Provide training and support on the utilization of distance learning tools and programs.
  • Provide basic IT troubleshooting, set-up and maintenance of equipment and networks as it relates to teacher technology use in the classroom and assistance to all Technology Team members.
  • Assist with Google Admin Console Platform and Chromebooks as part of the Customer Care Team.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience            
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field (Teaching or Technology).  Master’s degree in related field preferred.
  • Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate preferred.
  • Experience in working with teaching and mentoring teachers.
  • Experience in the use of technology in the classroom.
  • Experience in designing, creating, and delivering innovative instructional materials and programs on the use of technology to enrich teaching and enhance learning.
  • Experience in working collaboratively with a wide variety of administrators, faculty, staff, and others in multiple departments across the District.
 
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  • Valid fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety
  • Valid AZ driver’s license must be bondable and insurable.  Certificates in related field
desirable.
 
Working Environment
The usual and customary methods of performing the job’s functions require the following physical demands; the employee is frequently required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
 
Terms of Employment 
  • Salary as established by the Governing Board (Technology Salary Schedule)
  • 230 Days
  • All Benefits as assigned for this position

  • Measles/Mumps/Rubella Immunity/Vaccination
  • Valid I-9 form
     
Evaluation 
Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the Director of Educational Technology, in accordance with Governing Board Policy.
